What is the role of a Data Analyst / Report Developer? 

The position is responsible for data analysis, coding, testing and deployment of report solutions to support our various clients. 

What is a typical day like for a Data Analyst /  Report Developer? 

Create and refine data models. 

Develop new reports based upon defined request and maintain a catalog of reports’ use and purpose.

Maintain queue of report requests from initiation through to completion, including their detailed requirements. 

Participate in business analysis activities to maintain reports and develop enhancements as needed.

Enforce rules and procedures for cleaning, integrating, and reconciling information/data from various sources.

Assist end users with report troubleshooting.

Work with stakeholders to define and understand their data/reporting needs.

Develop report standards and best practices or guidelines for repeatable processes.

Develop testing plan along with performing tests to delivery high quality solutions.

Analyze report / data issues and provide recommended approaches to solve.

Accountability for meeting commitments as scheduled and achieving high customer satisfaction. 

Keep current on new and emerging technology.

Keep other team members and management fully informed of progress, emerging issues, corrective actions, and escalating appropriately as the situation demands.

Who is the right person for this role?

Bachelor degree in Information Systems or related field preferred 

1-3 years experience developing reports or query writing with PL/SQL and/or Microsoft SQL/MySQL Server preferred.

Prior experience with Tableau, SQL and Python required.

Familiarity with BI, Big Data, and Data Warehousing concepts.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
