ActiveNav is looking for a Federal Business Development Executive to support ActiveNav’s growth of its Federal Sector. This person will drive growth by supporting business development, sales, account management, and partner relationship management. ActiveNav is hiring candidates with federal government expertise and/or other software sales experience though direct/partner channels.


Your Career

In this role you will play a pivotal role in the expansion of ActiveNav’s flagship product in the Federal Government by growing current federal accounts and qualifying new opportunities. You will work closely with current customers and in cooperation with other ActiveNav Sales Executives and business partners. You will have an opportunity to use your relationship building skills, leading meetings, and delivering presentations.

Your Impact

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to prospecting.
  • Co-sell large accounts with our Federal Account Executive.
  • Lead and close on meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal resources and external network to prioritize and penetrate critical accounts; quickly build relationships with key stakeholders to drive net new business.
  • Primary focus net new logos / net new client accounts.
  • Identify key decision makers and develop strategic relationships to drive revenue.
  • Compliance in utilizing internal sales enablement tools and management process.
  • Work at the hip with primary Federal Account Executive to hit various business development metrics and quota attainment goals.

Your Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in Enterprise Software Sales or Business Development roles with public sector technology vendors.
  • Software sales success utilizing GWAC vehicles.
  • Strong expertise in crafting, executing on, and driving solutions selling.
  • Have excellent executive presence.
