Our recently launched Cloud Service is primarily focused on the Legal sector, including both law firms and corporate legal departments, and largely follows the customer footprint of our technology partners, iManage and NetDocuments.

Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to support our growth in the legal sector within the North American market. This exciting role bridges the gap between sales and technology, helping law firms and corporate legal departments understand how ActiveNav can solve their data governance, compliance, and risk challenges.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by contributing to our growing success in the legal market. You'll have the autonomy to shape our sales engineering strategy and the potential to take on expanded responsibilities as the role evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales team to drive opportunities from discovery through close, providing technical guidance and solution alignment throughout the process.
- Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling, use-case-specific product demos that speak directly to legal market challenges.
- Trusted Advisor: Serve as a technical expert and consultant, clearly translating complex capabilities into business value for legal professionals.
- Product Feedback: Relay client needs and enhancement requests to the product and engineering teams to inform development priorities.
- Collateral Support: Provide sales and marketing support through conferences, webinars, white papers and website content; Lead technical responses to RFI, RFP, and infosec requests
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with technical staff across target accounts.
- Partner Enablement: Support partners with product demos, training, onboarding and creation of technical sales collateral.
- Post-Sales Alignment: Coordinate closely with the delivery and customer success teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and sustained customer value.
What You Bring
You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in a cloud-based software sales engineering role, ideally with exposure to data governance and the legal sector. Technically strong and curious by nature, you're confident presenting technology-led solutions to senior stakeholders, aligning technical capabilities with business needs. Your expertise includes SaaS application deployment, Microsoft 365 tenant configuration (including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Teams), Azure Cloud Services, cloud content repositories, Windows virtual server management, and regular expression syntax.
You’re an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal presentation skills, comfortable leading conversations with C-level stakeholders and delivering tailored product demos. You understand the full SaaS sales cycle, collaborate well within cross-functional teams, and are committed to helping sales efforts succeed. Your interpersonal style is relationship-driven, enabling you to build trust quickly with both colleagues and clients.
You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, and adapt quickly to change. Experience in legal information governance is a strong plus. This role requires up to 25% travel within the assigned territory and candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization.
