Summary Description of Role:                                  

We are seeking a Project Manager. This is a new position to support expansion of the company’s operations. Reporting to the Development Lead, the Project Manager will provide operational leadership for our oncology development team, preclinical through early clinical development.  You will work in a highly collaborative manner to develop and implement project management tools and best practices. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for proactive, cross-functional planning leveraging your skills to define project operational plans, manage timelines and budget, drive risk management, and ensure quality of deliverables, in the execution of a premier oncology program.


Responsibilities

  • Provide project management leadership on a fast-paced, cross-functional program team
  • Lead the creation and execution of high-quality integrated project timelines, communication plans, risk assessments, and action planners
  • Collaborate with Development Team to drive alignment and seamless execution of program’s business-critical deliverables
  • Foster high-performing teams by monitoring health and operating efficiencies of the team
  • Proactively manage program budget and resources
  • Partner with the Development Lead to identify opportunities and remove obstacles driving program success
  • Develop and implement project management tools, best practices, and processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and visibility of project deliverables

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred or a Bachelor’s degree with strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training
  • Proven track record in project management with a minimum 3+ years of experience in bio tech/life sciences project management or equivalent discipline.  (PMP certification preferred.)
  • Minimum 6+ years of industry experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing and guiding cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of the drug development process, with oncology experience a plus.
  • Self-driven initiative to manage across multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly competent in MS Office and SmartSheet and/or MS Project.
  • Level will be commensurate with the final candidate’s experience
