Jr Data Analyst

Priority Power is seeking a Jr Data Analyst to join the Business Intelligence team. The Business Intelligence team supports business activities at the company by providing actionable insight into a wide variety of data. Under guidance from senior members of the team, the Jr Data Analyst will support existing data visualizations and reports. They will work towards creating new reports and visuals as they gain experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment where they will have the opportunity to make significant contributions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support existing data visualizations and reports by ensuring data quality and process integrity
• Troubleshoot any data issues that arise in a timely manner
• Make improvements to reports and visualizations based on user feedback 
• Write moderately complex SQL queries and Python scripts
• Use a select set of AWS services to schedule tasks, store and retrieve data and produce automated emails
• Understand the basics of power market fundamentals and how to interpret market data
• Communicate effectively with members of business teams 
• Use Tableau and/or Grafana to publish and edit widely distributed visualizations and charts

Skills & Technology:

Tableau, Grafana, SQL, Python, AWS, Data Analytics, and Statistics

Education and Experience:

• BS in Finance, Economics, Math/Statistics, MIS, or Computer Science
• Previous experience in the Energy industry preferred through employment or internships
• Familiar with at least one scripting language such as Python, R, JavaScript, etc.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
