Job Summary:

Priority Power is seeking a Cloud Application Support Engineer as part of the growing Technology team.   This role will be directly responsible for administering and supporting our Kubernetes cluster on EKS, ensuring uptime and reliable performance on critical production systems, and managing secure system integrations.  Successful candidates will work well in a small collaborative team, be eager to learn the business, have experience managing data pipelines and ensuring highly performing data streams. Ideally, this candidate enjoys leveraging their knowledge of data management and cloud platforms to introduce new automated processes as well as manage cloud costs, security best practices, backup, and redundancy strategies.  Priority is looking for a talented individual that is looking to showcase what they’ve learned and apply it at Priority. This is an incredible time to join the Priority team on the ground level with opportunities for career growth as you make significant contributions to a growing company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the business to implement more efficient processes integrating automated data retrieval, maintaining data quality and monitoring tools
• Develops and maintains cloud-based infrastructure using AWS
• Looks for ways to make platform improvements aligned with business growth needs
  
• Monitors for errors or issues with the platform
  
• Develops and maintains ETL and data pipelines
  
• Maintains kubernetes cluster using EKS
  
• Maintains data feeds for external clients retrieving data through an API
  
• Develops and maintains automated email services and alerts for clients
  
• Collaborates with IT infrastructure on network security controls
  
• Collaborates with IT infrastructure on moving servers to the cloud
  
• Develops solutions to automate internal processes
  
• Able to leverage workflows, code, or scripting to solve a problem by leveraging secure best practices
  
• Continually researches new technologies which can be used to meet business needs
  

Skills & Technology:

• Experience in the following
  

        ○    Any Cloud Architecture with a preference for AWS

        ○    Kubernetes and Docker

        ○    Postgres

        ○    Python

        ○    SQL

        ○    Tableau, PowerBI or Quicksight

        ○    APIs

        ○    Git

• Other Desired
  

        ○    RPA tools such as UIPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism

        ○    Spark

        ○    Django or other web development frameworks

        ○    SalesForce

Education and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
  
• Previous experience in network engineering
  
• Minimum of 2 years experience administering cloud infrastructure
  
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in stressful situations
  
• CKA (Certified Kubemetes Admin) certification is preferred
  
• Demonstrated experience in container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) and deploying Kubernetes environments
  
• Previous experience building and maintaining APIs
