HR Generalist
Green River is looking for someone to help with human resource and finance-related needs of our 35 person software engineering firm. We are focused on software systems that make a positive impact in the world, and we especially seek employees committed to public health, school improvement, environmental protection, and social justice.
The HR Generalist will work closely with our Director of Finance and management team to develop, refine, and maintain HR related policies and procedures, as well provide key administrative support to ensure our business runs effectively. Regular responsibilities will include, among others:
Assisting with our annual benefit strategy review
Tracking and updating employee handbook and benefit documentation
Managing new hire and termination paperwork for US and international employees
Helping onboard new hires, explaining benefits, and answering employee questions about benefits
Arranging federal background checks for staff
Performing an annual 401k census
Handling payroll processes for US and international staff (using 3rd party services)
Reviewing and approving weekly staff timesheets
Tracking PTO and staff leave policies, accrued time, and request approvals
Supporting employee evaluation and performance review activities
A successful candidate will:

Bring experience in accounting, HR, benefits administration, and/or office administration

Be discreet and professional
Have a bachelor's degree or comparable life experience
