About the Role
We’re seeking a U.S.-based front-end engineer who is excited to craft high-quality, accessible web applications and contribute to systems that have a real-world impact.
In this role, you will:

Build secure, stable, and performant frontend applications in React

Collaborate with designers to create and maintain component libraries (Storybook, Figma)

Contribute to backend APIs and services in Ruby on Rails (no Rails experience required—we’ll support your learning)

Write and maintain test suites, including visual regression testing (Chromatic)

Partner with cross-disciplinary teammates (engineers, designers, data scientists, project managers, and more)

Advocate for usability, accessibility, and user-centered design
You will be a strong fit if you have:

Professional experience in software engineering with a focus on frontend development

Hands-on experience with React
-
Expertise in modern JavaScript, web platform APIs, and standards

Experience building data-driven interfaces and API integrations (REST, GraphQL, etc.)

Experience building complex forms with multi-step workflows
-
An independent problem-solving mindset and strong collaboration skills

Clear, effective communication in English
We’d be especially excited if you bring experience in:

Full-stack development with Ruby on Rails or a similar framework

Working in small, collaborative teams

Technical leadership or product ownership

Mission-driven or employee-owned organizations
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $108,000 – $135,000 annually ($52 – $64.90/hr with 40-hour work weeks), based on skills, experience, and location.
