About the Role

We’re seeking a U.S.-based front-end engineer who is excited to craft high-quality, accessible web applications and contribute to systems that have a real-world impact.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Build secure, stable, and performant frontend applications in React

  • Collaborate with designers to create and maintain component libraries (Storybook, Figma)

  • Contribute to backend APIs and services in Ruby on Rails (no Rails experience required—we’ll support your learning)

  • Write and maintain test suites, including visual regression testing (Chromatic)

  • Partner with cross-disciplinary teammates (engineers, designers, data scientists, project managers, and more)

  • Advocate for usability, accessibility, and user-centered design

 

You will be a strong fit if you have:

  • Professional experience in software engineering with a focus on frontend development

  • Hands-on experience with React

  • Expertise in modern JavaScript, web platform APIs, and standards

  • Experience building data-driven interfaces and API integrations (REST, GraphQL, etc.)

  • Experience building complex forms with multi-step workflows

  • An independent problem-solving mindset and strong collaboration skills

  • Clear, effective communication in English

 

We’d be especially excited if you bring experience in:

  • Full-stack development with Ruby on Rails or a similar framework

  • Working in small, collaborative teams

  • Technical leadership or product ownership

  • Mission-driven or employee-owned organizations

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $108,000 – $135,000 annually ($52 – $64.90/hr with 40-hour work weeks), based on skills, experience, and location.
