Associate Producer

Job Description:

Exactly Right is looking for an Associate Producer to join the team. This role will serve to assist the production team with pre-production, production, and distribution of Exactly Right podcasts. 

This position reports directly to the Executive Director, Production.

Job duties include:

• Assist with production for assigned shows including pre-production, show research, recording, post-production, and show promotion.
• Facilitate collaboration with internal teams including project management, marketing, operations, legal, launch, advertising, and production of network podcasts.
• Track down archival photos and get legal clearances for them.
• Create recording agendas, research packets, and episode prep.
• Assist with tracking guest talent releases, guest promotional assets, clearance agreements, guest scheduling, and calendar invites.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with key talent and their representatives.
• Contribute fresh ideas to keep content exciting and innovative, including suggestions of themes, stories, guest ideas, and content for upcoming episodes and social media content.
• Produce social media content, including audiograms, graphics, and video content to support podcast promotion.
• Communicate regularly and in a timely manner with the senior production team and hosts throughout the production process to help all stakeholders and projects meet their full potential.
• Quality check episodes to ensure they meet network standards and pass legal clearances.
• Participate in trainings to learn editing software and skills, in order to eventually act as a fill-in producer and engineer.
  

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years related work experience working with high level talent preferred.
• Passionate and knowledgeable about the podcasting medium.
• A demonstrated passion for comedy and/or true crime is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
• Hands-on production experience.
• Ability to maintain a high attention to detail and meet all deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new digital formats and technologies.
• Low ego, solutions-oriented team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and at ease with people from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

Work Environment:

• Standard office environment, currently working remotely.
• Often required to work weekend and/or non-standard hours.
• Minimal travel may be required.

• Salary range is approximate. Final salary will be determined commensurate with experience.
