Content Lead

Job Description:

This role will support all Exactly Right podcast and video productions by helping oversee and coordinating the production process, tracking and executing interdepartmental and partnership requirements, and assisting with host communications on behalf of the production department.

This position reports directly to the COO.

Job duties include:

  • Deliverables Management: Oversee deliverables from marketing, development, advertising integrations and third-party platforms. Ensuring alignment with approvals, project timelines and quality standards.
  • Communication Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between senior management and teams. Facilitate clear communication and timely updates. Summarize important trends and insights for executive decision-making.
  • Production Oversight: Collaborate with the Senior Managing Producer to manage production schedules, deadlines, and quality control of episodes. Ensure timely publication and accuracy across all platforms.
  • Show Launches: Project manager for launches handling communication and workflow between talent and across departments to meet all deliverables and ensure brand quality.
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement processes to enhance productivity, manage team deadlines, and oversee resource allocation as needed.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with advertising, marketing, legal, and accounting teams to meet production requirements and deadlines. Act as a liaison with distribution partners regarding platform issues and campaign updates.
  • Talent Support: Work closely with network talent on new show launches and existing show initiatives. Assist COO as a liaison between network, talent, and production.
  • Studio Management Support: Assist the Senior Managing Producer with studio scheduling, staffing, and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as a producer required and 1-2 years experience working with podcasts or broadcasts preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, able to create production calendars and keep shows on schedule.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the podcasting and video podcasting mediums.
  • Deep and significant experience managing and leading thriving creative teams.
  • A demonstrated passion for comedy and true crime is a plus.
  • At least two years of experience working with high level talent.
  • Ability to maintain a high attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt content strategy within digital formats and new technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and an ease with people from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

Work Environment:

 

  • Standard office and in-studio environment in Burbank. 
  • Some weekend, holiday and after-hours work may be required aligned to coverage of significant occasions (e.g., live events, award shows, off-hours recordings, etc.).
  • A minimum amount of travel may be required.
