The Andelyn Biosciences’ Supply Chain team is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Supply Chain Intern. The Andelyn Intern will learn how gene therapy contract manufacturing facilities operate from the inside out! You will be supporting the internal supply chain in our two new state-of-the-art facilities.

Under the guidance and direction of the Head of Supply Chain, essential functions of the Supply Chain Intern will include:


 


Support the updating of key business documents in alignment with the capabilities gained through the opening of our new facilities. The role will evaluate the processes and capabilities available prior to the new facilities being commissioned compared to the new processing and offerings. The processes and capabilities to be evaluated will span the entire internal Supply Chain of Andelyn and will require the candidate to work cross functionally with many departments.


 


The project will require the intern to gain an understanding of the key roles that each department plays in the manufacturing of gene therapies within Andelyn Biosciences. The role will identify critical pieces of equipment, instrumentation and materials that are utilized throughout the manufacturing process; perform a gap assessment to identify any issues that could impact business continuity; and document the redundancy, alternate materials and processes utilized to mitigate risk and ensure business continuity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required 


Must be currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at a College or University


Must be a Business, Supply Chain or Engineering major.


No minimum experience required.


Must be literate in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)


Must excel in working in a team environment.


 


Minimum Physical Requirements


 


·        Occasionally Sitting


·        Frequently Walking/Standing/Stooping


·        Independently lifting up to fifty pounds


·        Occasionally Talking on the phone or in-person


·        Frequently Typing on a computer keyboard


·        May require the ability to aseptically gown or wear other PPE regularly
