Our Values are founded in our origin story

The name “Andelyn” is a hybrid of two gene therapy pioneers who participated in pivotal Phase I clinical trials at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Andrew received the first U.S. investigational gene therapy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2006. Evelyn received experimental gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy in 2015. “Andelyn” combines their names, representing all the families who have courageously participated in the research that make today’s gene therapies possible.

Since then, Andelyn commissioned 2 brand new buildings of 185,000 and 50,000 square feet of Clinical, Commercial, and pre-Clinical state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities that will be operational in April and August 2022.  This will enable Andelyn experts that have been manufacturing Gene Therapy solutions for > 20 years to provide the scale and breadth of services to all researchers in any phase of their Gene Therapy development and commercialization.
