Andelyn is primarily a full-service manufacturer of Adeno Associated Virus (AAV).  We work with over 100 clients each year to manufacture AAV at development, toxicology, clinical and commercial quality.


We are seeking a  Facilities Technician II. The Facilities Technician II will be responsible for working within the cleanroom and laboratory areas while maintaining the facilities in a clean and orderly condition. As an individual contributor, the successful candidate will be comfortable in clean room and laboratory environments, where gowning and aseptic techniques are required. Responsibilities include cleaning/disinfection of all cleanroom surfaces and equipment, waste removal, compliance with GMP policies and procedures, completion of daily cleaning logs, documents all work with extreme accuracy and attention to detail in a timely manner by recording lot numbers, expiration dates, visual inspection, etc. Performs support functions as needed, including but not limited to, inventory monitoring and stocking of gowning materials and other PPE. In addition, the incumbent will provide mentorship and direction to facility technicians. This role has no direct reports.


The Facilities Technician II position will work on the 2nd shift.

Under the guidance and direction of the Associate Director of Facilities & Contamination Control, the essential functions of the Facilities Technician II:

  • Performs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and techniques and requires training common experience or working knowledge related to the tasks performed.
  • Attention to detail in all job functions.
  • Performs tasks as assigned.
  • Works under close supervision of senior staff and leadership

  • Cleaning and disinfection in laboratory and ISO classified cleanroom areas
  • Precision equipment cleaning and disinfection
  • General janitorial duties as needed to support office personnel
  • Other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Two (2) years of relevant job experience.
  • Cleaning and disinfection experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience in a highly regulated field is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills in operating a personal computer/word processor.
  • Must be familiar with various software packages (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with highly confidential materials. 


Preferred Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 


Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Standing / walking Constantly (67-100%)
  • Sitting for extended periods Occasionally (0-33%)
