GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Andelyn is primarily a full-service manufacturer of Adeno Associated Virus (AAV). We work with over 100 clients each year to manufacture AAV at development, toxicology, clinical and commercial quality.

The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for interacting with the AD Contracts, Sales team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and external customers on Requests for Proposal (RFP) reviews to clearly define project scope, strategy, resource requirements, timelines, deliverables, and pricing. You will oversee CDA’s, review master agreements with the AD The Contracts Specialist, and be proactively involved in the drafting of other technical documentation. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. You will work closely with Business Operations to achieve budget, optimize profit, fill the schedule and assist with the creation of high-quality technical proposals. This may include various service offerings that primarily support gene therapy development and manufacturing projects. 

2. You will maintain accurate and timely updates to Salesforce. com.

3. You will work to ensure accurate timelines and pricing is provided within proposals for forecasting activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Biology, biotechnology, etc, or 10 years of industry-related work experience required.

2. Minimum 4 years of contracts or paralegal experience.

3. Experience using technical proposals.

4. Knowledge of CDMO market pricing and conditions is useful.

5. Proven experience in strategic planning.

6. Experience with Service Agreements.

7. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Salesforce. com (or similar CRM tool).


ADDITIONAL SKILLS

1. Gene therapy, biologics, and/or microbiological development and manufacturing expertise.

2. Strong business acumen, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.

3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

4. Superior verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers.

5. Effective negotiating skills.


MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


- Typing on a computer keyboard Constantly (67-100%)

- Virtual Client/Team interfacing (45-100%)
