WHAT: Business Development Manager

About The Role

• We’re looking for a self-motivated, personable, and experienced business development manager to join our sales team in North America. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for the development and closing of profitable new business and long-term business relationships with prospective new clients. You’ll attend publishing and media industry events and be a professional networker. Must love publishing and technology!

Your Tasks as a Business Development Manager:

o Reaching out to potential new customers

o Relationship building with the objective of establishing trust and collaboration with leads

o Solution-focused sales consulting regarding a potential customer’s IT infrastructure, system applications, and department-specific core processes

o Negotiating contracts

o Being the touchpoint between management, pre-sales, project managers, and the customer

o Preparing and moderating customer events such as workshops and webinars

o Maintaining and updating knk’s internal CRM system, building a comprehensive sales pipeline

o Coordinating with marketing for needed materials or for follow up from events or demos

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably of products based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ERP systems, or comparable complex software solutions (SCM, CRM, ECM)

• Experience or knowledge of the publishing industry

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• The ability to build your own funnel when needed

• Fluency in managing a sales pipeline

• Strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills

• Strong knowledge of Office 365 and other areas of the MS stack

• You have a passport for international travel if needed
