Job Summary


The Business Analyst is a quantitatively and qualitative oriented position with analytical skills to develop strategic insights and tactical learnings in a dynamic, fast-paced environment for our partners. The purpose of the Business Analyst position is to be responsible for all reporting and analytics for programs. This position helps visualize business analytics insights back to the day-to-day practitioners of the business all the way through.  The person needs to have not only demonstrated experience with data and reporting platforms, but must have an eye for design and solid business understanding.  The ideal candidate is someone who understands the intersection of technology and business and that technical know-how is complimented with business applications.


 


Job Description and Responsibilities


·      Own the reporting pipeline for Account Management and Client Services teams


·      Analyze external market dynamics and internal data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to program management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis


·      Create value-added reporting for the business and account team; weekly, monthly and quarterly


·      Compare and assess measurable data and analysis against client goals and objectives


·      Develop, design and support interactive based dashboards and workbooks (ex: SalesForce Community, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint)


·      Proactively drive new reporting/analysis (measures, key success factors, metrics) and make recommendations to the account team


·      Closely monitor and maintain the integrity and completeness of the data


·      Design, update and administer the metadata of the workbooks, so that descriptions of data are consistent and reliable across multiple projects and workbooks, automating this process as much as possible


·      Continuously improve the process of updating existing workbooks and dashboards and find new ways to speed the process of gaining insights from data


·      Participate in functional team decisions and continuous process improvements as a key member of the Global Services team


·      Other tasks as requested by management


 


Requirements


·      Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; information systems or a related technical discipline preferred but not required


·      4+ years of business experience; 2+ years of experience with Tableau in a business environment preferred, including using Tableau desktop to publish workbooks on a Tableau server as well using Tableau online


·      Experience with systems integration (data import/export, data cleansing/QA)


·      Strong analytical thinking skills to solve and model complex business requirements are a plus


·      Ability to collaborate on a team with infrastructure, report development and business analyst resources, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical teams


·      Must be an independent, quick learner focused on continuous improvement with high attention to detail and creative problem solving


·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word)


·      Advanced Excel reporting development capability


·      Experience gathering, and translating end user requirements into implementable end user reports


·      Ability to manage concurrent projects at different stages of completion


·      Have a true eye and understanding for communicating information visually


·      Perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail


·      Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills


·      Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and timelines/due dates


 


Physical Requirements


·      Minimal travel required


·      Ideal candidate will be located near Hillsboro/Portland and work in the corporate office location


·      Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.


·      Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment.
