Job Duties


• Solder surface mount components (Fine pitch, SOIC etc.).


• Solder through-hole components.


• Perform visual inspection of PCB’s for IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements.


• Mechanical and technical skills


• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small


• Performs the set-up, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.


• Other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements:



· Ability to read prints, work instructions and perform tasks as outlined


• Experience soldering surface mount and through-hole components.


• Experience inspecting surface mount and through hole solder per IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements


• Good working knowledge of ESD and IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements.


• Expected to read and comprehend process documentation including Bills of Materials and Assembly drawings


• Component Identification Ability required.


• Candidates should be very organized with the ability to keep count of parts.


• Candidates should have the ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.


• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.


Other Skills and Abilities:



· Basic computer skills and learn how to use proprietary software



Physical Demands



· Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted


· Work in ESD lab and on concrete floor if other duties as assigned


· Some overtime required
