The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our innovative team to help us pioneer data-driven solutions in the Mass Tort and Personal Injury space. This candidate will report to the Director of Data Insights and play a crucial part in supporting our business-facing data needs. We pride ourselves on successfully building and iterating our core data models which has positioned Torticity for the next evolution phase as a data-led organization. The right candidate will have a unique opportunity to not only help establish the key data signals cross-functionally but also influence Torticity’s journey toward achieving our vision of lasting transformation in the legal system.
Role Responsibilities Include:
KPI Monitoring:
• Develop and maintain a robust set of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the health and performance of our business
• Continuously track, analyze, and report on KPIs to provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders
Business Trend Outliers:
• Identify trends, anomalies, and outliers in our business data through advanced analytics and statistical methods
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and understand the reasons behind these trends and outliers
• Utilize data visualization tools to create visually compelling and informative reports
Data Analysis:
• Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for analysis
• Perform in-depth data analysis to uncover patterns, correlations, and opportunities for improvement
Report Generation:
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards that visualize key insights and trends for executive and operational teams
• Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and tailored to the needs of different stakeholders
Data Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Implement data quality checks and contribute to data governance efforts.
Skills:
• At least 4 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst in a business-facing function, with a track record of using data to inform business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills with an acumen for storytelling with data.
• Enthusiastic and curious about using data to shape the future of the legal industry.
• Naturally curious with a demonstrated initiative to lead and own projects from start to finish
• Ability to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience with BI tools to build automated reporting (ThoughtSpot a plus)
• Understanding of data warehouses, data pipelines, BI tools, and the modern data stack
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Interest in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
• Prior experience in the legal industry or familiarity with Mass Tort Litigation is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business economics, statistics, data science or a related field (MBA preferred).
