This position processes documents to ensure the perfection of titled vehicles with the states in which they are registered.  The Titling Specialist works closely with Leadership, Sales, Operations, and Credit internal business partners, as well as customers, states’ Department of Motor Vehicles and selling dealers.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to, timely and accurate processing of titles, follow up on missing/inaccurate titles, development and documentation of procedures, and workflow.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

·     Process MCO and title transactions in all jurisdictions

·       Understand the importance of perfecting Verdant’s interest in titled equipment through its Titling Trust or otherwise, and process titles to secure such interest(s)

·       Develop and implement processes and procedures to efficiently ensure Verdant’s interest in vehicles are accurately reflected on the titles of financed vehicles

·       Process titled vehicles wherein the underlying contracts have reached the end of term or have been paid off

 

·       Follow up with dealers/customers on titles that have not been perfected within required time frames

  • Work on special projects as required

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

·         Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

  •    Adherence to policies and procedures
  •    Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously to meet communicated deadlines
  •   Highly organized, self-starter with excellent attention to detail

 

 

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

·         Understanding of each state’s requirements and procedures for the titling and registration of titled vehicles

·         Established relationships with the title agents/DMV personnel in all states

  •    Ability to process vehicle titles in a timely fashion
