Job Summary

This position assists the Senior Program Manager, working with Capital Markets to prepare lease and loan contracts and related documentation for sale/assignment, discounting, and placement to 3rd party Funding Sources, assists with portfolio and one-off discounting calculations, and works closely with Senior Leadership, Sales, Credit, Operations and Accounting business partners to deliver secondary market liquidity for Verdant originated assets.  Reports to VP of Operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, timely and accurate documentation preparation around Capital Markets activities, analysis, and review funding contracts, compliance with internal and external audit requirements, validation of discounting proceeds, fees and early or EOT pay-offs due to Funding Sources.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of Verdant and its Funding Sources and prepare or review documents that meet the needs of the Funding Sources for Capital Markets, while simultaneously protecting Verdant’s retained rights and obligations in the sold/assigned or referred transactions.
  • Validate lease pricing using calculator or T-Value pricing tools when required as a step in insuring appropriate funding proceeds are paid to Verdant
  • Validate pricing on tax-oriented deals and / or portfolio purchases or sales, as required
  • Identify, investigate, and clarify customer and Funding Source inquiries and issues and determine quick and efficient resolution
  • Research, report, and analyze customer data as needed
  • In the context of assigned assets, responsible for the accuracy and completeness of contract change negotiation, funding transactions, monitoring and closing out accounts
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements set forth in Master Assignment Agreements or similar discounting documents in place with Funding Sources
  • Confirm booking information is accurate and complete and sent to servicing partner in a timely manner; manage portfolio servicing activity after the sale
  • Review and confirm the portfolio data provided by the servicer is accurate and complete; reconcile servicer reporting as necessary
  • Act as liaison to Sales, Credit, Operations, Accounting, Customers, and Third-Party Servicers, and respond timely, prioritize accordingly, and stay on top of all requests
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of departments within the company and function well within a team framework
  • Work on special projects as required
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Continuously provide support vis-à-vis these systems with respect to other Verdant individual sales associates’ “self-syndication” efforts as needed

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the job

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 10-15 years’ equivalent work experience, including supervisory experience
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills
  • Highly organized, self-starter, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines simultaneously and meet communicated deadlines
  • Basic understanding of the complex transaction structures
  • Adherence to policies and procedures

 

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but 5-10 years financial services operational experience required in the alternative.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and manage processes and associates
