Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Communications is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning and executing Vesper’s day-to-day communications operations across corporate, project-level, and commercial workstreams. This role manages the planning, quality, and timely delivery of communications content, supports ongoing cross-functional initiatives, and maintains systems and processes for internal and external messaging. The Senior Manager partners with Community Affairs, Development, Commercial, Legal, and executive leadership to ensure clarity, credibility, and strong alignment of Vesper’s communications across all channels.

Role Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or related field required.

Years of Experience: 7 plus years of experience in communications, marketing, media relations, or a related field, with increasing ownership for communications execution and content development. Preference for experience in energy, infrastructure, project finance, or regulated industries.

  • Proficiency in presentation development and visual design, including building professional slide decks and creating polished, on-brand collateral using PowerPoint, design software, and templating tools
  • Judgment navigating sensitive communications situations and maintaining confidentiality when required
  • Ability to maintain and improve communications systems, content libraries, editorial calendars, and workflows
  • Proficiency in digital communications, website management, social media, and analytics tools
  • Cross-functional collaborator able to drive deliverables and ensure consistency across Development, Legal, Commercial, and Policy
  • Experience producing commercial or project marketing content, including project summaries, pitch decks, or technical collateral, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, able to coordinate external vendors or consultants and hold them accountable for quality, timeline, and budget
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with accountability and improve processes in a lean, rapidly changing business

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of communications deliverables, including content planning, drafting, and coordinating approvals to meet deadlines and standards
  • Own the consistent delivery of core messaging in support of corporate, project, and policy communications across all internal and external channels
  • Draft, revise, and finalize communications materials, including press releases, fact sheets, presentations, web and social content, and internal updates
  • Lead the organization and maintenance of content libraries, templates, editorial calendars, and communications workflows
  • Track communications needs and coordinate with Community Affairs, Commercial, and Development to ensure project milestones and initiatives are supported
  • Support media relations activities by drafting talking points, Q&A, and rapid response messaging, and maintaining key media contact information
  • Drive execution of commercial marketing content, including development and delivery of project summaries, capability statements, and collateral supporting project offtake or finance
  • Lead Vesper’s internal and executive communications function, including all-staff communications, town halls, and company-wide announcements
  • Produce presentation materials, talking points, and briefing documents for executive leadership and internal and external meetings
  • Standardize templates, messaging frameworks, and approval workflows to improve consistency and reduce turnaround time for both internal and external communications. Templates include PowerPoint presentations, letters, fact sheets, pitches, and more
  • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance on sensitive topics, ensuring all communications are accurate, risk-aware, and vetted appropriately
  • Maintain relationships with external communications vendors, designers, or consultants, tracking deliverables and resolving issues as needed
  • Identify and implement process improvements for content development, approvals, and communications delivery
