Position Summary

The Training Operations Manager will serve as a key leader in supporting and expanding training operations within a designated territory. This hybrid role merges field leadership, instructor management, and logistics coordination to ensure a smooth, safe, and high-quality training experience for all students. Reporting to the Managing Director, this individual will oversee instructor recruitment, coordinate internal systems, and provide exceptional support to both team members and customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and train certified instructors to lead concealed carry classes

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with firearm ranges and coordinate payments as needed.

  • Teach classes when necessary to support local operations.
  • Secure and maintain certifications for Concealed Coalition and instructors across counties and states to meet all local teaching requirements.

  • Build and manage relationships with firearm ranges, ensuring proper scheduling, setup, and partnership alignment.

  • Confirm all scheduled training events with range venues in advance to ensure preparedness and reduce the risk of cancellation.
  • Ensure strict safety protocols are upheld in both classroom and range environments.

  • Maintain curriculum compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws.

  • Assist in planning logistics for training events: transportation, meals, supplies, venue coordination, etc.

  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, county, and state officials to secure required approvals for curriculum and instructor certification.

  • Organize documentation, maintain digital files, and ensure readiness of training materials.

  • Handle administrative tasks including data entry, email communication, and document preparation.

  • Support customer service tasks such as certificate remakes, schedule updates, and audit communications.

  • Become proficient in operational software tools such as TimeTap, Docebo, and Airtable.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and provide feedback on process improvements.


Qualifications

  • Must be a certified/licensed firearms instructor in good standing with all required credentials.

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and classroom presence.

  • Proficient in using computers, audio/visual equipment, and digital tools.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent follow-through.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
