Position Summary:

 

As a member of the Information Technology team, the Sr Manager of IT & Cybersecurity plays a key role in helping to build and define the direction of the IT and Cybersecurity team and manage day to day helpdesk operations, proactive cybersecurity threat management and incident response activities.  Must have strong people management skills and thrives on building new security environments. Drives, implements, and manages security incident response procedures using a variety of tools and technologies to rapidly identify and respond to threats. This position reports to the Sr Director – IT & Cybersecurity.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·       Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the IT helpdesk and cybersecurity operations team including developing strategic plans, and identifying key success factors

·       Responsible for proactive monitoring, analyzing, investigating, tracking, and remediation of IT security events across the enterprise in an overall effort to minimize the potential for a breach of security or loss of data

·       Point of escalation for IT helpdesk and cybersecurity incidents

·       Provide strategic guidance for IT/cybersecurity projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls

·       Oversee portfolio of security projects and assist with new solutions to deliver on strategic cybersecurity initiatives

·       Manage the cybersecurity training and awareness program for all organization users and contractors

·       Drive lessons learned from remediation activities and recommend security enhancements to management

·       Regularly scheduled audit of IT/cybersecurity controls and drive continuous improvement efforts to minimize attack surface and mitigate weaknesses

·       Active awareness and staying current with trends, technologies, regulations, threats, etc.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

 

  • Overall 5+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities in the field of IT
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and security best practices
  • At least 2 years of experience in configuring, building, deploying, and securing M365/O365 environments (Azure AD, Azure CA, Security & Compliance, Intune)
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing SSO, MFA and other IAM solutions
  • Hands on experience managing endpoint security, EDR and vulnerability management
  • Ability to triage security incidents and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as CIS20 and NIST CSF
  • At least 2 years supervising IT personnel
  • 1+ active certification in one of the following: GCIH, CCNP, CISSP, OSCP, CHFI, Security+
  • Bachelor’s degree required in either: Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity
