 The Position
AREVON is recruiting for the position of Estimation Analyst, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries for the 21st century.
 Job Description
The Estimation Analyst will work in tandem with the Estimation, Procurement, and Construction (DevCon) teams to turn raw data into information and insight, which can be used by management to make business decisions. The Estimation Analyst will report directly to the Project Estimator and assist with preparing estimates for utility scale solar and battery energy storage systems.  The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in renewable energy and education in a related field. They have a solid track record of teamwork and enjoy working on a dynamic and diverse team. They possess the technical skills required and have a background in engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, information management, or economics.  Strengths include data analysis, programming, organization, and meeting tight deadlines for various internal stakeholders. They desire the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and thrive in an environment that requires flexibility and adaptation to constant change, shifting demands, and moving timelines.

Responsibilities: 

 

·         Develop, use, and maintain automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.

·         Develop and maintain various databases – reorganizing data in a readable format.

·         Review engineering plan sets and develop high level takeoffs.

·         Work with Project Estimator to complete project due diligence.

·         Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data.

·         Analyze local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry.

·         Prepare reports for various stakeholders which demonstrate tends, patterns, and predictions.

·         Work with programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities.

·         Prepare and present final analysis reports to stakeholders, enabling them to make business decisions based on various facts and trends.

 

Requirements:

 

·         Entry-level candidates will be considered.

·         Track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures.

·         Strong organizational, mathematical, problem solving, and analytical skills; detail oriented.

·         Self-motivated with ability to work independently.

·         Experience with data analytics software such as Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc. is preferred.

·         Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel

·         Proficient with Microsoft Products (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, Outlook, etc.)

·         Ability to multi-task, prioritizes tasks effectively and work efficiently.

 

Education Requirements

4-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or similar discipline
