The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Marketing and Communications Manager, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century. The Marketing and Communications Manager will report to the Vice President of Government Affairs and Marketing.
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute marketing and communications strategy in conjunction with VP.
· Lead the creation of informative and engaging corporate marketing and communications materials. This includes press releases, press kits, newsletters, social media assets, one-pagers, and policy briefs. Guarantee all content is publication-ready.
· Serve as initial point-of-contact for media inquiries. Pitch media, fulfill routine requests, draft backgrounders. Coordinate and prep Arevon spokespeople for media interviews and on-camera appearances.
· Coordinate with subject matter experts to identify and coordinate Arevon participation at industry events, including speaking and sponsorship opportunities. Create conference signage/displays, digital and print content, pre- and post-conference attendee communications. Assist in the creation of presenter content and visuals, ensuring alignment with brand messaging.
· Plan and execute project-level events such as open houses, ground-breakings, and ribbon-cuttings. Ensure coverage by local media, trade press, and national media, as appropriate.
· Plan and execute partner-focused events, creating opportunities to elevate Arevon brand awareness and solidify commercial relationships with partners and suppliers.
· Manage LinkedIn presence to share company news, promote team members speaking at conferences, etc.
· Schedule and execute routine website updates.
· Maintain a directory of approved photo and video assets. Coordinate with Project Managers to acquire visual assets during all phases of the project.
· Consistently execute Arevon’s brand presence across all media.
Qualifications and Characteristics
· Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
· 5-7 years of B2B marketing and communications experience with a track record of increased responsibility, preferably including agency experience
· Knowledge of renewable energy and utility industries is a bonus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, including writing, proofreading, grammar, syntax, and use of AP Style. Spanish language skills are plus.
· Solid understanding of best practices related to public relations, media relations, marketing, and social media
· Experience with multichannel media approaches, media pitching, and media monitoring
· Proven ability to communicate to a variety of audiences through social media, web content, earned media, blogs, etc.
· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
· An aptitude for and skillset in graphic design is a desirable extra
· Ability to travel (domestically) up to 20% of the time
· Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities daily
· Possess an eye for detail and the desire for continuous process improvement
· Ability to work with team members in different locations around the country
