Tax Manager – RENEWABLE ENERGY

The Position
Arevon is recruiting for a Tax Manager position. Reporting to the Director of Tax, the Tax Manager will work with existing team to support all functions (Commercial Asset Management, Financial Asset Management, Development/Origination, and Investment/PF) under AREVON’s Tax Operating Model. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· People Management – with work with current tax manager to manage & develop current tax associate and Senior Accountant, Indirect Tax, as well as guide future team growth.
· Coordinate with asset management team and 3rd party stakeholders on 3rd party investments, including estimate, annual compliance, and ad hoc consulting.
· Financial statement and estimate process
o Review of year-end tax provision calculation and Income Taxes footnote, as required
o Review of year-end tax estimates for financial statement and external stakeholder purposes, including tax equity
o Review Ad Hoc calculations for Asset allocation and section 754 (“Step-up”) elections and other tax technical matters, as needed
o Coordinate with 3rd party for review of tax provisions and estimates, including additional information requests
o Assist Director of Tax in maintaining tax assumptions in company FP&A models
· Annual compliance cycle
o Ensure engagement letters and invoices for compliance cycle are completed timely
o Oversight on information flow between Arevon functions and 3rd party providers
o Review of all income tax returns/work product provided by 3rd parties, including integrity of internal sign-off processes and tax return approval processes
o Review of 100+ tax returns for Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax, and informational matters
· Process improvement, documentation, and new project take-on
o Assist with all income and indirect tax assumptions in Due Diligence & planning
o Review of new and amended LLCA and other legal documents for tax implications of investments
o Oversee/implement automation/optimization/update strategies for current excel workbooks, financial and tracking models, CORPTAX software, and other relevant workstreams
· Support of Indirect Tax Function, as needed
Education Requirements
§ Minimum BS/BA in Accountancy, other fields accepted if J.D.
§ CPA license/JD is desired
Experience Requirements
§ Strong experience in Subchapter K preferred
§ Experience in renewable energy is highly desired
§ Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures, experience in shared services center environment is helpful
§ Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
§ Proficient on MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
