Position Purpose/ Summary

The Dryland Supervisor assists the Director with the management of Dryland Fitness & Spa, including facility operations, Dryland team and Haus Quiver gear and retail operations. Duties include serving as an ambassador of all Gravity Haus brands and offerings, supervising the cleanliness, maintenance and safety of the facility, working to achieve high client and member satisfaction, purchasing and merchandising HQ retail offerings, and delivering and modeling excellent internal and external service all while maintaining the financial health of the business.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, train, schedule and manage Dryland Front Desk Team members with an eye on efficiency, morale and processes.

  • Participates as a member of Dryland vail Leadership team.

  • Participates in budgetary decisions related to staffing of front desk and makes suggestions for equipment and offerings.

  • Works collaboratively with support departments (accounting, engineering and housekeeping) to improve facility operations.

  • Develops and implements initiatives to enhance member and guest experience with an eye on acquiring and maintaining Forbes 4 star service ratings.

  • Serves as MOD for Dryland.

  • Serves as a retail buyer as appropriate, handling payment of accounts and ensuring good standing with vendors.

  • Receives inventory and prices appropriately

  • Merchandises inventory, completes monthly inventory reports and strives to lower cost of goods.

  • Assists in management of Haus Quiver (member gear amenity of bikes, skis, SUPs, camping & hiking gear) operations by way of organization, coordination, maintenance, fulfillment and working with other on Gravity Haus team to execute.

Education and/or Experience 

  • A Bachelor’s degree is beneficial along with front line experience in spa/fitness or hotel operations

  • Experience in the Hospitality industry of customer service industry is required

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine guest service orientation

  • Must have excellent communication skills including strong writing skills

  • Ability to problem solve expeditiously and effectively

  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Language Skills

  • Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to speak well over the telephone and in person. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports and written reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Equipment Utilized

  • General office equipment

Computer Operations

  • Excellent computer skills including word, excel, Outlook and Mind Body Online (MBO)

Mathematical and Reasoning Skills

  • Must be able to follow accounting procedures for close out and reconciliation of nightly reports. 

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
