The Director of Food & Beverage will direct and oversee operations and financial performance of all assigned food and beverage outlets within Gravity Haus which currently includes: Gravity Haus Breckenridge, Gravity Haus Vail, Gravity Haus Steamboat, Gravity Haus Winter Park, Gravity Haus Truckee-Tahoe, and soon to open Aspen Haus. If you have 5-7 years of Food & Beverage management experience in a resort and/or mountain-town setting and are passionate about hospitality, excellent guest service, creating amazing experiences, health and sustainability - come join our growing team!


This position will oversee all Gravity Haus Food & Beverage Operations. Therefore the position is remote, but with expected travel to the various locations, residing in Colorado is preferred and ideally in relatively close proximity to one of our current operational locations (Steamboat, Vail, Breckenridge, Winter Park, or Aspen.)

  • You have a High School Diploma and ideally a four year college degree

  • You have formal restaurant management training within a corporate environment.

  • You have experience in building and executing training manuals, maintaining excellent service standards across all levels of F&B Operations.

  • You have exceptional supervisory skills training.

  • You have a variety of F&B experience from quick service, events, full-service restaurant and fine dining operations.

  • You have knowledge of State Health regulations and best practices.

  • You have budgeting and planning process experience.

  • You have knowledge of state liquor laws and best practices.

  • You have F&B accounting knowledge 

  • You know marketing and advertising fundamentals relating to F&B.

  • You have experience with banquets and special event planning, organization, and execution.

  • You have the ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management.

  • You have excellent customer service skills and the ability to train others.

  • You excel at team building, leadership and development.

  • You have great Interpersonal skills which include coaching, counseling, mentoring, and public relations.

  • You are able to deliver restaurant and business operations deliverables daily, weekly, and monthly.

  • You have an appreciation for and commitment to the outdoors, sustainability, and your own personal growth. 


What You’ll Do:


  • Act as a strategic partner to all operations, collaborating to realize the company’s vision, mission, and goals.

  • Design, implement, and iterate on programs and initiatives aimed at all F&B operations.

  • Develop and maintain key skills index for General Managers and senior property leaders, evolving them to reflect new product and service offerings or new brand standards.

  • Create, maintain, and administer training program that addresses the baseline and unique skill sets needed for managing hospitality properties with multiple revenue streams (many non-traditional)

  • Develop peer-mentoring infrastructure that creates a community of learning among properties.

  • Regularly monitor location performance and report on their state to senior leadership, identifying teams that are excelling and expanding best practices across the region.

  • Evolve, maintain, and execute a cadence of operations business reviews that highlight successes and opportunities of each property to senior leadership and ownership.

  • Manage a regular cadence of thematic feedback from the front line to leadership that will inform how the company grows and introduces new products and iterations of revenue lines.

  • Work alongside partner teams (operations, support, etc.) to ensure regular monitoring of services quality and guest/member satisfaction

  • Consult with Operations to discuss the quality of service and product, identifying systemic challenges facing the front lines and developing cross-functional solutions to resolve those challenges.

  • Develop and ensure the consistent execution of service standard training across all lines of business.

  • Work closely with the Executive Operations to develop protocol for new product and service rollout, including feasibility analysis, capex ROI analysis, training, implementation comms, and launch-day support.

  • Monitor the financial and operational success of new launches, providing feedback to product/service owners.

  • Develop, refine, and finalize HOPs  (Haus Operating Procedures) after trial periods, including refreshed training to the front line

  • Ensure the company’s compliance with relevant laws.

  • Grow and lead the Food & Beverage team to support the company’s needs over time.

  • Competitive compensation, consisting of a salary range of $115,000 - $130,000.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Gravity Haus salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Gravity Haus’s total compensation package for Team Members. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and region-specific benefits.
