NEXus Pain Center is looking to fill a full-time position as a precertification/insurance specialist/new patient coordinator    NO nights, weekends or holidays.  Monday - Friday 7:00 to 3:30.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• The precertification/insurance specialist is responsible for contacting health insurance companies prior to procedures to verify coverage either online or by telephone.  Excellent phones and computers are necessary. Previous medical terminology  and Pain Management experience is helpful.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives instructions from the physician regarding what procedure or testing is needed.
• Obtains pre-certification/pre-authorization from insurance companies prior to procedure either online or telephone.
• Verifies patient eligibility and coverage for procedure.
• Respond to written and telephone inquiries from patients, insurance carriers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to maintain a working knowledge of insurance and pre-certification requirements.  Applicants must be able to prioritize work in an environment of constant change while meeting the needs of the office, able to cross train effectively within the office, able to communicate effectively with physicians and team members.

Must demonstrate a positive attitude.

Hourly Salary starts at $14.00/hr.
