The Opportunity:
As an Account Executive at Blackpoint, you will play a critical part in driving revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales deals with Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Your primary focus will be to build and maintain strong relationships with MSPs, understand their unique cybersecurity challenges, and position our solutions as the ideal choice to meet their needs. By leveraging your expertise and skills, you will help us overcome our current challenge of expanding our customer base in the MSP market and achieving our sales targets.

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as you will be articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to MSPs. Your ability to build relationships, manage customer expectations, and provide exceptional customer service will be crucial to your success. Additionally, having a results-driven mindset, being self-motivated, and possessing excellent organizational skills will enable you to meet and exceed sales targets. Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales software will also be beneficial for effectively managing your sales pipeline and tracking customer interactions.
Your first year will look something like this:
Within 1 month, you will:
- Participate in our comprehensive onboarding program to familiarize yourself with our products, sales processes, and target market.
- Build a solid understanding of our value proposition and key features of our solutions.
- Begin prospecting and initiating contact with potential MSP clients, engaging in consultative discussions to understand their cybersecurity pain points and business requirements.
- Shadow experienced Account Executives during sales calls and presentations to gain insights into successful sales strategies.
Within 3 months, you will:
- Develop a strong network of relationships with MSPs, serving as their initial primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Conduct product trials and proof-of-concepts, effectively showcasing the value of our solutions to potential clients.
- Pilot new marketing channels and messaging based on data, market intelligence, and trends to optimize lead generation and conversion.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create persuasive sales pitches tailored to the needs and pain points of each MSP.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and nurturing long-term relationships with MSPs.
- Contribute to market intelligence efforts by staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Share feedback and insights with the product and marketing teams to influence future product development and marketing strategies.
