The CaseBuilder solution is a part of SoundThinking’s SafetySmart platform that provides an enterprise-level SaaS solution to manage any sort of investigative case. It helps local, state, and federal investigators automate the manual process of working a case. Analytical and collaboration tools help investigators connect the dots and share information faster while reporting helps package information for command staff and prosecutors. We are looking for an Implementation Manager to develop and execute plans and processes to ensure successful outcomes when onboarding new customers onto the CaseBuilder System. The role includes engaging directly with Leadership, IT Representatives, Investigators, and other end users within customer agencies during the onboarding process.

 

The role will ascertain system requirements and then provision and configure new accounts according to the documented specifications. The role will also ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to the customer throughout the onboarding process while establishing a trusted advisor relationship. To accomplish the mission the role will proactively coordinate internal SoundThinking resources and work in collaboration with stakeholders to successfully execute onboardings in a professional and timely manner and to properly transition accounts to the Customer Success Team.

 

This position requires experience in software system implementation (preferably for public safety customers) including the technical capability to complete configuration tasks. The role will also require previous experience working with a cross-functional team including Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Accounting, Training, and Technical Support.  

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitate onboarding activities for new accounts from handoff by the sales team, through system go-live.
  • Provision and configure new accounts, elicit, and implement customer requirements including configuring module access, user accounts, code table updates, and role-based access controls
  • Configure Single Sign-On, Whitelist IPs, API end points, and manage Security Certificates
  • Closely guide, monitor, and report on the progress of implementations
  • Prepare project plan documents for new system implementations.
  • Coordinate requirement gathering sessions, user acceptance testing activities, training events, go-live events, and related meetings with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with company trainers and provide training sessions on system usage
  • Manage risks to onboarding projects elevate high risks to appropriate management channels
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
  • Document, track and communicate user issues during onboarding and UAT to engineering
  • Document customer enhancement requests and communicate them to product management
  • Secure customer acceptance forms and signoffs and coordinate invoicing with accounting
  • Prepare reports and communications

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  •  Minimum 5 years of experience working within the Software field with duties related to project management, onboarding, and system configuration, preferably working with Law Enforcement Records Management Systems, or a closely related area.

 

o   Minimum of three of those years should include experience working in a technical capacity with software systems

 

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and multiple projects, timelines, and priorities.
  • Experience in delivering training and demonstrations to end users on software applications
  • Experience in delivering training and demonstrations to end users on software applications
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Proficiency with online communication tools, Atlassian software tools, and MS Project preferred.
