SafePointe Security is a newly acquired product line of SoundThinking, Inc. and provides the ability to detect weapons that are hidden on people or in bags with a sensor that is concealed from public view. Unlike metal detectors with large and obvious footprints, the SafePointe system remains concealed and alerts customers to armed individuals that may be entering their facility. SafePointe’s clients cross multiple industry verticals: casinos, hospitals, schools, corporate locations, distribution centers, places of worship, and retail and is sold as a subscription SaaS model.

 

The Director of Sales, SafePointe Security Systems, sells SafePointe’s solutions directly to customers and potentially through channel partnerships. The role involves direct selling to customer senior executives, which is usually a Security Executive or potentially an Agency Chief/Administrator/General Manger/COO/CEO. The right candidate must be very sales savvy with the ability to help the marketing team conceptualize effective campaigns, and then aggressively following up on leads, demonstrating the rhythm, work ethic and resiliency needed for a proven sales leader. The candidate must also demonstrate proficiency in developing Strategic Account Plans, and a track record for achieving sales quotas. While the SafePointe product will be your primary focus, you will also need to be conversant with the broader suite of SoundThinking products, to take advantage of potential cross selling opportunities. SoundThinking has a robust marketing and sales support operation to assist you in finding and landing opportunities. There is no account management responsibility once the client is landed and transitioned to our customer success team. You will have a large, assigned geographic territory or industry vertical (e.g., hospitals, casinos) or a combination of both.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

• Develop and execute on comprehensive go to market plan for your territory/vertical.

• Achieve sales bookings goals on a quarterly and annual basis.

• Learn the company’s suite of products and services and be able to effectively present and demonstrate its capabilities and value proposition on your own.

• Identify key prospects, potential channel partners and account alliances designed to produce sales opportunities.

• Participate in pre-sales calls, create and deliver customized presentations (in person or online), provide written proposals and subject matter expertise for customer solutions.

• Understand the competition in the marketplace and effectively differentiate SafePointe’s unique capabilities and value proposition.

• Assist in RFI/RFP responses.

• Attend market insight events, networking activities, and participate in associations, trade shows, and conferences to support sales growth.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree • 3-5+ years Sales experience in business development, ideally in the security or SaaS space, or with one of the primary vertical markets mentioned above.

• Demonstrated success selling to senior level decision makers.

• Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.

•Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong business acumen, superior organizational skills, detail orientation and the ability to follow through.

• Excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills.

• Ability to travel to trade shows, meetings, and to customer/prospect locations.

• Technology savvy with the ability to demonstrate our products effectively to prospects.

• Proficient in web-based demo platforms, MS Office/internet, PowerPoint, and willing to learn the Salesforce platform.
