SoundThinking is looking for a System Administrator to help support and manage computer systems of one of our premier clients. This individual will be responsible for monitoring, installing, updating, and configuring various computer systems and supporting application development teams.  Strong debugging skill and an in-depth understanding of PowerShell scripting to help facilitate upgrades, automation, and monitoring of the various commuter systems.   The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and able to work well independently but also a member of a larger team.  Systems Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and support of server environments.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

·        Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.

·        Maintain documentation and technical specifications of system environment and enhancements.

·        Monitor and diagnose server performance and address issues as needed.

·        Develop needed scripts or procedures to facilitate server maintenance and operations.

·        Manage SSL Certificate updates, coordination and installs

·        Work with client IT staff on updates and improvements to server environment

·        Review and improve Developer deployment and maintenance procedures.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements

·        5+ years of network administrator, or system administrator experience

·        System administrator experience in Linux, Windows environments

·        Strong understanding of computer system fundamentals

·        Experience with scripting and automation tools.

·        Great attention to detail, nothing gets by you

·        Effective oral and written communication skills

·        Proactive, innovative, and dedicated system administrator

·        Work with others and enjoy being part of a diverse team

·        Ability to work independently

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
