Position Overview:

SoundThinking is looking for a passionate experienced professional familiar with the unique nuances of law enforcement agencies to serve as a trusted partner consultant in driving value for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a high level of interpersonal communication skills and the ability to embrace cutting edge technologies that the SoundThinking SafetySmart platform offers.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with assigned SoundThinking accounts. Requires building relationships with multiple customer staff from front line to high-ranking leaders.
  • Partner with customers to develop outcome measures from the use of SoundThinking technologies.
  • Coordinate and lead Annual Account Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews as needed.
  • Educate and influence customers to adopt operational best practices.
  • Brief city and law enforcement leadership on outcomes resulting from SafetySmart Platform use for the purpose of validating business case value to support contracting.
  • Partner with other entities such as ATF; Police Foundation; Urban Institute and IACP as a subject matter expert (SME) and seek opportunities in which to collaborate.
  • Support Sales Team when requested in sales engagements by sharing prior Law Enforcement (LE) experience and in case solving strategies and best practices.
  • Participate in and practice positive Net Promoter (NPS) strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal Customer Support department to efficiently resolve customer issues.
  • Be the internal customer advocate representing their product and services requests.
  • Work collaboratively across SoundThinking to represent the customer and community perspective.
  • Available for extensive travel – approx. 50% of time

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • BA degree or higher in related field required.
  •  Extensive law enforcement or analytical experience required, leadership experience at command level preferred.
  • Experience successfully collaborating with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders, political and community leaders.
  • Ability to build relationships at multiple levels, from frontline users to executive stakeholders, with strong empathy for customer challenges and goals.
  • Must be team oriented, resourceful, with critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SoundThinking follows a hybrid schedule for employees who live equal to or less than 50 miles from one of our office locations, which include Fremont, CA, Tucson, AZ, Washington, D.C., or Iselin, NJ. Employees are expected to work onsite 3 days per week – the specific days are dependent on the office location.
