Summary

 

SoundThinking seeks to hire a Solutions Director for its innovative SafePointe concealed weapons detection solution.  This customer-facing role will represent the company as the product Subject Matter Expert (SME).  The candidate will also provide consultative expertise in the field of security and safety in a corporate, private-sector  environment during the sales process.  This includes providing guidance around safety protocols, and security best practices. The Solutions Director will work and travel extensively with Regional Sales Directors to client locations as a core part of the sales team, working to close deals and enhance achievement of business plan targets.

 

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Work in partnership with regional sales directors to move prospects from early interest in the SafePointe solution to purchase intent by providing a solution overview during sales calls that reviews specific capabilities, how the product works, and answer prospects’ product-related questions. 
  • Understand how other customers are using and seeing success with SafePointe to provide to prospects perspective on how they might best adapt it to their specific environment and instill confidence in the solution and company
  • Review RFPs and RFIs to help get answers to non-standard questions working with Product Management and the Technical team. 
  • Provide consultative safety and security process and policy expertise during sales calls with clients and prospects.  This will include reviewing best practices and providing recommendations to clients to support an overall security program.  Prior safety, security or surveillance expertise in a corporate environment will be valuable. 
  • Assist Regional Sales Directors in:
    • Delivering compelling presentations, product demonstrations & meetings with key decision-makers across their territories.
    • Work in a consultative role to assist on deal strategy, diagnosing prospective customer pain points, messaging, value, justification, funding, and closings.
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management to provide input into:
    • Define/refine our Value Proposition, ROI, competitive differentiation and messaging for this product offering
    • Refining sales collateral.
    • Contribute to demand generation efforts by speaking at conferences and participating in webinars.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will need to project credibility, experience, and create trust with clients and prospects, becoming a Trusted Advisor in the sales process.
  • Knowledge of Same Side Selling philosophy is a plus
  • 10+ years leadership experience working within the safety, security, or risk management fields at large enterprises. Experience in health care security a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and effectively communicate the functionality of technical products with foundational understanding of electrical engineering or physics a plus
  • Demonstrated success working with product management and marketing in helping to contribute to product roadmaps and marketing messages
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated team player.
  • Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Sales Force and Excel
  • Ability to pass an FBI CJIS security background check.

 

Additional Information:

  • This is a base salary + commission role.
  • The position requires significant travel within North America, estimated at 50%-60% of working days.
  • The candidate will work remotely but must be flexible to travel frequently.

Hybrid Workplace:

SoundThinking follows a hybrid schedule for employees who live equal to or less than 50 miles from one of our office locations, which include Fremont, CA, Tucson, AZ, Washington, D.C., or Iselin, NJ. Employees are expected to work onsite 3 days per week – the specific days are dependent on the office location.
