We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Director of Demand Generation to lead our demand generation efforts and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth for SoundThinking. Reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing, this role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive demand generation strategies, programs, campaigns, and events that generate high-quality leads, engage prospects, and nurture them through the sales funnel.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Demand Generation Strategy:
- Develop and execute a demand generation strategy aligned with overall business goals and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with the SVP Marketing to define targets, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for demand generation initiatives.
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to assess impact and performance and iterate as necessary.
- Prioritize market segments and develop end-to-end campaigns to attract, engage, and convert qualified prospects into sales opportunities.
Team Leadership:
- Manage existing demand generation team
- Events manager
- SDR Director
- Digital Marketing Manager
- External consultants as needed
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead Generation Campaigns:
- Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel lead generation campaigns across digital, content marketing, email marketing, and other relevant channels.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and improve campaign performance continuously.
- Ensure campaigns address each stage of the buyer's journey and addresses pain points effectively.
Event Management:
- Event mgr will plan and execute marketing events, including webinars, industry conferences, seminars, and virtual events, to drive lead generation and engagement.
- Event mgr will coordinate all aspects of event planning, including logistics, content, promotion, and post-event follow-up.
Marketing Technology Stack:
- Manage marketing technology tools and platforms to support demand generation efforts, including marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools.
- Manage consultants as needed for projects related to data hygiene and integration with CRM.
Sales Alignment:
Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handover of leads, optimize
- lead scoring and implement lead nurturing strategies.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Monthly dashboard and assessment of demand gen activities
- Measure the effectiveness of demand generation campaigns and events, and report regularly to the SVP Marketing and executive team.
- Use data insights to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to strategies as needed.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the demand generation budget
- Ensure budget adherence and provide transparency in spending.
Market Research and Targeting:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to refine targeting and messaging strategies.
Testing and Optimization:
- Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to optimize emails, campaigns, landing pages, and conversion paths.
- Implement best practices in demand generation and event management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in demand generation, B2B marketing, SaaS, and event management.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation strategies and managing events.
- Strong understanding of marketing technology stack and analytics.
- Team leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HubSpot and Salesforce.com.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on ROI and KPIs.
- Role requires 3 days/week onsite presence in Fremont
- Travel as necessary

Hybrid Workplace:
Soundthinking follows a hybrid schedule for employees who live equal to or less than 50 miles from one of our office locations, which include Fremont, CA, Tucson, AZ, Washington, D.C., or Iselin, NJ. Employees are expected to work onsite 3 days per week – the specific days are dependent on the office location.
