Synertex is seeking a Journeyman Software Developer with UI/UX/Web Performance skills to fill a position in support of defense intelligence requirements.

Designs, develops and tests program units; works on new systems development and enhancement/maintenance of existing systems; participates in implementations of new systems or modifications to existing systems to meet customer’s requirements. Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Present designs and key milestone deliverables to stakeholders. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards. Experience with page speed testing and optimization techniques. Familiar with web standards, best practices and current trends
Required Skills:
· 5+ years of proven UI/UX experience in User Interface(UI) design and development using Modern UI technologies like HTML5, CSS3, MVC, JavaScript & JS Frameworks such as Vue or React. Application deployment on cloud (Preferably AWS).
· Experience working in devops model with CI/CD using tools like git, SonarQube
· Demonstrable UI/UX design skills with a strong portfolio.
· Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
· Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
· Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
· Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
· Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
· Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
· Key skills: JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, Backbone, JQuery, [website], JSUnit, AJAX, REST, SOAP, etc. 3 years minimum experience required.
· Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related.
