We are seeking a Records Custodian Manager to support our government customer based in Springfield, VA. The position is required to be onsite.
Description
The Records Custodian Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Organization's records vault. The Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the Records Custodian team. The Manager shall conduct training and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required to ensure consistent superior service is provided to all customers.
The Manager provides the Records Management Officer (RMO) with Subject Matter Expert (SME) level advice on Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) compliance to regulations, policies, and procedures related to records management. The Manager will assist the RMO in developing and executing a strategy to modernize the Organization's Records Management program and will conduct internal self-assessment audits to verify compliance with internal and external directives. The Manager will participate in the development and execution of the Organization's goals and objectives, recommend updates to policies and procedures, and / or serve as a representative on policy-making committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience with fied records management.
- Degree(s) from accredited institution(s) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Skill in interpreting, applying, and explaining laws, rules, and regulations offied document and records management functions.
- SME level knowledge of IC and NARA regulations, and standards for records management.
- NARA certified or have taken all online training (levels 1-2) and can show completed certificates.
- Three (3) years minimum supervisory experience.
- Highly developed organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks of varying complexity and urgency in a timely and efficient manner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Has the ability to develop collaborative relationships and work effectively in a diverse Organization.
- Experience in Annual Records Inventories.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with an Electronics Records Management System (ERMS).
- Experience with Feith Inc. ERMS considered a plus.
- Experience in transitioning from paper to electronics records.
- Ability to develop/update effective training materials.
Security Clearance
- This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance. Candidates must be able to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
