Description:

The Fielding Execution Lead (FEL) is the first line supervisor of a cross-functional team comprising of New Equipment Training (NET) Instructors, Installers and Fielders.  FELs coach, teach, mentor their teams to expand the team capabilities across the JBC-P, TMC, FSC2 and CPI2 family of products in the GFS Portfolios.  Teams may consist of up to 20 employees.


FELs coordinate with the PM Mission Command Digital Systems Engineers to plan and execute assigned mission to train and field units new equipment.  The FEL is the GFS representative on the ground, directing actions, assessing risk to mission and making necessary decisions to accomplish the mission.  FELs work for the Regional FEL at their assigned station (JBLM, Ft. Hood TX or Ft. Bragg NC).

Responsibilities:

-       In coordination with the on-site government leads, plan, direct and execute fielding mission through assigned regions on behalf of PM Mission Command.

-       Lead and develop a cross-functional team covering the portfolio of the Global Fielding Services (GFS) contract (Joint Battle Command Platform, Tactical Mission Command, Fire Support Command and Control and Command Post Integration).

-       Develop and execute team training plans that support cross-functional training, cross-program training and sustainment training.

-       Certify employees training in support of the GFS requirements.

-       Maintain certification in at least a single Labor Category (FEL, Installer, Fielder, etc.) while continuing self-development across all Labor Categories and Programs.

-       Attain certification as a FEL within the first 60 days of employment.

o   Knowledge of JBC-P/JBC-P LOG systems.

o   Support to initial and follow-on testing for systems under JBC-P.

o   Operate the Defense Advanced Global Positioning System Receiver (DAGR).

o   Diagnose and troubleshoot JBC-P/JBC-P LOG hardware, software and network that are non-operational while conducting fielding missions.

o   Load & zeroize transceivers using the Field Service Station (FSS) or FSS-like tool.

o   Perform hard drive purging to include filling out proper documentation IAW Army Security Regulations.

o   Ability to install maps.

o   Support JBC-P LOG logistics actions.

-       Manage reporting functions to the Government representatives and the GFS Program Management Office.

-       Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Mandatory Requirements:

-       Possess a minimum of a SECRET clearance.

-       Possess a current U.S. Passport

-       Be available for travel up to 75% of the time (depending on mission requirements).

-       Possess an Instructor qualification to performoom or over-the-shoulder training.

-       Possess a thorough knowledge of at least one program in the GFS portfolio (JBC-P, CPCE, AFATDs, etc.).

-       Minimum of 2 years of experience in the GFS Program in a leadership position OR 2 years of experience with prior Military experience in senior leadership roles.

-       Possess knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Network and the role it plays in the GFS Portfolio.

-       Able to manage logistics as well as physically move equipment up to 60lbs in support of mission requirements.

-       High School Degree

Additional Desired Skills:

-       Be willing to relocate to the assigned location.

-       Have a broad and thorough understanding of the fielding and training requirements for JBC-P/JBC-P LOG, CPCE, AFATDS and other programs in the GFS portfolio.

-       Be trained as a prior FEL, Installer, Fielder, NET Instructor or other Labor Category in the GFS program (or other similar Army Support program).

-       Possess knowledge in non-GFS programs (DCGS-A, AMDWS, TAIS, etc.).

-       College Degree

-       Prior Military service
