Description:

The New Equipment Training (NET) Instructors provide U.S. Army units with the training necessary to operate newly fielded equipment.  Trained to provide instruction in up to 18 courses across 3 different programs, the NET Instructor is the primary team that ensures units are established a baseline level of training for operations.  As needed, NET Instructors review future Programs of Instruction (POI) to provide input to the Government and equipment vendors.


Responsibilities:

-       Plans NET Training missions in conjunction with the Fielding Execution Leads (FELs) based on PM Mission Command mission schedules.

-       Coordinates through Digital Systems Engineers (DSEs) as the government on-site leads to set-up, execute and tear down training environments.

-       Providesoom and field instruction on new equipment as a member of a team of instructors.

-       Resources training missions, ships and receives equipment, establishesoom environments and all other functions necessary to employ theoom Training Sets (CTS). 

-       Provides Exercise and Test support on behalf of PM Mission Command directed missions.

-       Provides cross-functional training of other Team Members under the direction of the Team FEL.

-       Expands self-knowledge as a NET Instructor and knowledge of other functional roles within the GFS contract (Fielder, Installer, etc.).

-       Maintains at minimum proficiency in a single program (JBC-P, TMC, FSC2) while expanding proficiency in other programs.

-       Provides training reports in support of the GFS contract to PM Mission Command.

-       Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

-       Possess a minimum of a SECRET clearance.

-       Possess a current U.S. Passport

-       Be available for travel up to 75% of the time (depending on mission requirements).

-       Possess an Instructor qualification to perform oom or over-the-shoulder training.  Qualification can be from any formal U.S. Military training program, or other professional trainer programs (with review).

-       Possess knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Network and the role it plays in the GFS Portfolio.

-       Able to manage logistics as well as physically move equipment up to 60lbs in support of mission requirements.

-       High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Additional Desired Skills:

-       Ability to relocate primary duty station as required by the government.

-       Possess a thorough knowledge of at least one program in the GFS portfolio (JBC-P, CPCE, AFATDs, etc.).

-       Have a broad and thorough understanding of the fielding and training requirements for JBC-P/JBC-P LOG, CPCE, AFATDS and other programs in the GFS portfolio.

-       Be trained as a prior FEL, Installer, Fielder, NET Instructor or other Labor Category in the GFS program (or other similar Army Support program).

-       Possess knowledge in non-GFS programs (DCGS-A, AMDWS, TAIS, etc.).

-       College Degree

-       Prior Military service
