About the R&D Team:

Timilon’s Laboratory, R&D, and Quality Assurance Team is in place to grow our product and intellectual property portfolio.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, biology, engineering, chemical engineering, or similar; advance degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in research and development.
  • Strong knowledge of product development from bench top to full scale production.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and capability to lead cross functional projects.
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally with Associates in other disciplines and/or business areas.
  • Willing to consent to background check: social security, prior employment, and education verification, and criminal history check and to pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Learns the usage of raw materials and the basic fundamentals of the technical development of new products.
  • Learns the process of new product development from laboratory prototype submissions through First Production support.
  • Executes assigned project work in given time frame in ways that meet objectives.
  • Plans own work supporting projects and delivers quality content reliably and efficiently; shares results.
  • Actively develops commercially feasible new products or modifies existing ones.
  • Assures all testing requirements are met to guarantee a marketable final product.
  • Determines stability of the formulations and ensures commercial feasibility.
  • Uses technical knowledge and attention to detail to generate and analyze data. Recognizes and flags unexpected learnings.
  • Gains competency in standard operating procedures and methodologies; complies with lab safety policies.
  • Keeps laboratory management informed of project progress and delivers feedback on time.
  • Stays abreast of developments in the air quality and decontamination fields and continues to demonstrate performance improvement.
  • Collaborates with all R&D departments, QA, Technical Services, and Manufacturing Departments; agility to work well with multiple platforms, suppliers, manufacturing plants' partners to resolve technical issues associated with products.
  • Understands technical rigor of Material chemical, process or relevant know-how to lead the material work.
  • Possesses excellent written and communication skills.
  • Has sense of urgency and discipline in operation.
  • Supports the business growth agenda by developing future innovation opportunities within areas of company focus.
  • Develops & implements the product and portfolio strategy to support growth agenda.
  • Ensures product performance competitiveness across portfolio.
  • Leads the translation of consumer insights into concepts.
  • Uses appropriate tools to facilitate concept and prototype evaluation (creation and presentation).
  • Creates and aligns product design briefs with cross functional project team.
  • Specifies product design attributes and quality targets.
  • Owns product development within projects.
  • Supports Process and Packaging Development Teams.
  • Follows corporate labelling and claim policy.
  • Supports continuous improvement projects driven by QA.
  • Supports business continuity contingencies that would require product development input.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting base salary ranges from $60,000 to $65,000.
