Shift Supervisor (Manufacturing)This is a full-time role responsible for coordinating and managing all production activities and deliverables during a shift.  Will have supervisory and training responsibilities. Shift Supervisor Requirements:

  • 2+ years manufacturing experience, including a lead or supervisory role.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.
  • Leads by example with positive, can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Willing to consent to background check: social security, prior employment, and education verification, and criminal history check and to pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

 

Shift Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and trains and evaluates staff.
  • Oversees shift production for maximum efficiency and quality output.
  • Communicates shift production expectations / weekly goals.
  • Ensures machines and technical equipment are properly used and maintained.
  • Coordinates staffing schedules, such that business needs are met and PTO and holidays are covered, when appropriate.
  • Manages plant and machine safety during shift.
  • Recognizes and troubleshoots problems affecting production including maintenance needs, waste, quality, schedules, and staffing.
  • Documents and maintains records, as required, including daily shift reports.
  • Manages information flow within the team of employees and across shifts, to supervisor, as necessary.

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting base salary ranges from $40,000-$42,000

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires working and standing, as well as sitting at the computer terminal. 
  • Works with volatile and flammable solvents, toxic chemicals and fine powders.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
