Job Purpose:

Performs inspections and repairs of manufacturing machinery in addition to performing skilled work in multiple fields such as electrical, carpentry, painting, locksmithing, HVAC and/or plumbing. Provides oversight and coordinate assignments for subordinates.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections and repairs in addition to routine skilled maintenance duties within electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, or plumbing.
  • Utilizes computers in submitting requisitions for required materials, researching material and information searches, maintaining a variety of reports and records, and assisting in estimating time required for complete jobs
  • Performs preventive maintenance and light repairs on manufacturing equipment and tools
  • Operates a variety of maintenance related equipment including power and hand tools
  • Oversees, assist and verifies the work of subordinates for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards, and specifications
  • Ensures adherence to safe work practices and procedures
  • Ad Hoc Tasks

Qualifications:

Education & Work Experience:

  • Equivalent to the completion of high school supplemented by specialized training related to the area of assignment
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid forklift certification

Physical Demands & Working Environment:

Physical

  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit
  • Push, pull, lift and/or carry moderate to heavy amounts of weight up to 50 pounds

Environment

  • Work is mainly performed indoors, with the occasional outdoor field environment
  • Exposure to noise, dust, electrical energy
