Position Summary

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced HR Manager who shares our passion for promoting the growth of sustainable energy and can thrive in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment. The HR Manager will collaborate with leadership to develop an organization that is built for growth, carries a “can-do” attitude, and has a diverse set of capabilities and experiences. The HR Manager will drive the processes and governance for recruiting, training, compensation and HR policies, along with supporting systems and ongoing processes.   

Responsibilities

  1. Staffing Process Management:
    • Handle recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes.
    • Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Training and Performance Management:
    • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help employees understand their job responsibilities.
    • Conduct performance and salary reviews.
  3. Compensation Strategy and Compliance:
    • Create a compensation strategy based on market research and pay surveys.
    • Investigate employee issues and conflicts, working toward resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  4. HR Policies and Organization Management:
    • Apply company HR policies consistently.
    • Maintain organization charts and employee directories.
    • Partner with management to align strategic HR goals with business initiatives.
  5. Systems and Processes:
    • Maintain HR systems and processes.
    • Provide support and guidance to HR staff.
  6. Compensation and Benefits Trends:
    • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.
    • Design and implement employee retention strategies.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant HR roles. Prior work experience involving the automotive or EV charging industry preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have excellent employee relations skills and must be a dynamic and proactive professional.
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with ability to convey complex information that others can readily follow.
  • Experience with training and coaching.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office and Google Suite. Experience with recruiting tools and payroll systems (TriNet) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with a business-level to near native-level fluency in English (written and oral).
