Position Summary

Are you passionate about crafting immersive retail experiences that captivate customers and drive business growth? Join us as a Retail Product Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our physical retail offerings. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Management, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic on-location initiatives that elevate our retail presence, delight customers, and maximize sales opportunities. 

Responsibilities

  • Retail Strategy and Road-mapping: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for our retail offerings, encompassing both in-store experiences and product assortment. Identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights to inform product decisions and drive innovation. 

  • Merchandising and Assortment Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, inventory management, and store operations, to curate a compelling product assortment that meets the needs and preferences of our target customers. Optimize product mix, pricing strategy, and placement to maximize sales and profitability. 

  • In-Store Experience Design: Lead the design and implementation of immersive in-store amenity and retail experiences that engage customers and enhance brand affinity. Partner with store design, visual merchandising, and marketing teams to create cohesive, on-brand experiences that drive foot traffic and conversion. 

  • Customer Insights and Feedback: Conduct regular customer research and feedback initiatives to gather insights into customer needs, preferences, and pain points. Leverage data analytics, customer surveys, and observational research to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous optimization of the retail experience. 

  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Cultivate relationships with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality products and negotiate favorable terms and pricing. Ensure timely delivery of merchandise, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain efficiency to support retail operations. 

  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Collaborate with Operations and Product KPI teams to establish a single pane of glass of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of retail products and initiatives. Monitor sales trends, customer feedback, and competitive benchmarks to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and finance, to align product priorities, execute initiatives, and drive business results. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization. 

Skills and Experience

  • Retail Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail product management, merchandising, or related fields, with a strong understanding of retail operations, customer behavior, and industry trends. Experience in physical retail environments is highly preferred. 

  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute retail strategies that drive business results and deliver value to customers. 

  • Merchandising Expertise: Deep understanding of retail merchandising principles, including product assortment planning, pricing strategy, and inventory management. Experience with retail analytics tools and software is a plus. 

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Genuine passion for understanding customer needs and preferences, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences that drive loyalty and satisfaction. 

  • Collaborative Team Player: Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, building consensus, resolving conflicts, and driving towards shared goals. 

  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from frontline employees to executive leadership.
