Brand Ambassador
Reports To: Senior Manager, Brand, Content & Creative
Location: Durham, NC (On-site, with travel)
Target Base Salary: $95k-100k

Job Summary:
We’re seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Brand Ambassador to lead driver education and customer engagement programs that bring the IONNA experience to life. This role will host EV education days to help new and returning drivers understand charging, our network’s reliability, and the partnership behind IONNA’s eight automakers. Through hands-on training and field research, this person will gather insights from customers, translate lessons learned to the product and marketing teams, and help drive EV adoption in key markets. As a visible representative of IONNA, the Brand Ambassador will also support small events and community activations, ensuring every interaction reflects our professionalism, hospitality, and brand promise.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Validation
- Conduct in-market and driver education programs to evaluate real-world customer experiences, behaviors, and satisfaction at charging sites.
- Lead customer insight sessions and usability studies to gather feedback, test prototypes, and refine end-to-end user flows.
- Synthesize findings from field testing and sentiment analysis into actionable insights that guide design, product, and experience improvements.
Hospitality & Representation
- Serve as the public face of IONNA at driver education events, ensuring customers, partners, and guests feel welcomed and hosted with professionalism.
- Represent the brand confidently on stage, on camera, and in media interviews, embodying IONNA’s values and voice.
- Host and support site openings, customer clinics (event execution).
- Support marketing and PR teams in capturing content and amplifying brand presence before, during, and after events.
Industry & Community Engagement (Growth Area)
- Build relationships with partners, community leaders, and industry peers as opportunities arise.
- Participate in conferences, panels, or local engagements to support IONNA’s brand visibility.
- Act as a knowledgeable presence with customers and stakeholders, gathering feedback and strengthening credibility in the EV charging space.
Content & Brand Support
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams on social, video, and campaign content, serving as an on-camera personality when needed.
- Represent IONNA with confidence and consistency, making sure every outward-facing interaction reflects our brand’s voice and visual identity.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Increase Utilization (charging sessions per session per day): Get more customers to drive & charge at IONNA.
- NPS: Maintain high customer feedback.
- Budget: Program budget management.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality, Customer Service or related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in brand representation, PR, customer centered activities & projects, event hosting, or related roles.
- Proven experience in public speaking, media interviews, and executive-level relationship management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with experience managing event logistics, vendors, and AV/production teams.
- Ability to travel more than 50% of the time to support events and partner activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background working directly with OEMs, automotive partners, or EV infrastructure organizations.
- Prior experience as a spokesperson, or on-camera representative for a brand.
- Established network within the EV/automotive industry.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
