Role Description  

As a Procurement Assistant Intern, you will support the Procurement team in managing materials, components, and service acquisitions crucial to our operations. This internship offers a dynamic, high-volume environment where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. You’ll learn the ins and outs of procurement processes in a leading EV charging company and gain valuable real-world experience handling purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.  

Role Attributes  

  • Process and manage an average of 50+ documents including purchase orders, Service Agreements, and NDAs  

  • Support and adhere to a fast-paced procurement environment, ensuring accuracy and process compliance  

  • Interface daily with program management teams and suppliers to track procurement status and inbound logistics  

  • Follow established corporate procurement procedures and assist in contract compliance  

  • Maintain continuous follow-up on open purchase orders, quotes, and supplier updates to meet deadlines  

  • Organize supplier and order documentation with high attention to detail  

  • Perform additional administrative duties to support the procurement team  

  • Other duties may be assigned  

  

Role Expectations  

  • Self-starter, takes initiative, accountable, with a proactive approach   

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business or related field  

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-volume tasks efficiently  

  • Proactive and capable of following processes independently while also collaborating across teams  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring grit and tenacity  

  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain concepts is a plus, but eagerness to learn is essential  

Education/Experience Expectations  

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program (Bachelors or Masters) preferably Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.    

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-volume tasks efficiently  

  • Proactive and capable of following processes independently while also collaborating across teams  

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring grit and tenacity  

  • Any previous exposure to start-up environments or face-paced workplaces is an advantage but not mandatory.   

  • Must be onsite at our Durham HQ during work hours
