The Role 

As Director of Program Management, you will be at the heart of delivering IONNA’s vision—ensuring we meet our ambitious targets for network expansion, technology deployment, and automaker partnerships. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead cross-functional execution across technology, infrastructure deployment, operations, automaker collaboration, and customer experience, ensuring that IONNA becomes the charging network of choice for drivers in America. 

This role requires a strategic leader with deep program management expertise, someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, partnerships, and large-scale execution. Your mission: to drive alignment across automakers, product teams, technology teams, Sales & marketing, and network operations—ensuring seamless execution of our roadmap and delivering an experience that sets the gold standard in EV charging. 

                                      Key Responsibilities 

 

Program Leadership & Execution 

  • Drive the execution of IONNA’s technology and infrastructure roadmap, ensuring seamless delivery of Plug & Charge, AI-driven reservations, route optimization, and in-car integrations. 
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of multi-year, cross-functional programs spanning software, hardware, and operational scaling—ensuring we deliver best-in-class reliability and driver experience. 
  • Develop and implement program governance, reporting structures, and risk management frameworks to ensure smooth execution across all workstreams for a 1:1 say/do ratio across IONNA. 
  • Anticipate challenges, remove blockers, and drive problem-solving at the highest levels to keep our execution on track. 

 

Automaker & Partner Collaboration 

  • Manage the relationship with all eight automakers product, business, and strategy teams, ensuring seamless vehicle feature integrations, roadmap, and strategic alignment. 
  • Act as the primary program interface between IONNA’s product, technology teams and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on timelines, requirements, and execution. 

 

Scaling Operations & Technology Deployment 

  • Partner with product, design/Ux, technology (hardware & software), and operations teams to deploy and optimize IONNA’s solutions at scale. 
  • Ensure a data-driven approach to network reliability, user experience, and charging efficiency, leveraging AI-driven analytics and predictive dashboards. 
  • Lead program management for IONNA’s Amazon-powered ‘Just Walk Out’, and other retail/amenity experiences, ensuring a seamless driver journey and end-to-end integration with automakers at IONNA Rechargeries. 

 

Who You Are 

  • A highly experienced program leader with a BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in program management, operations, or product execution—preferably in automotive, EV charging, mobility, or infrastructure development. While direct industry experience is not required, familiarity with large-scale technology or infrastructure programs is essential.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments—aligning automakers, suppliers, and internal teams around ambitious timelines.
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand software, hardware, and vehicle integrations. While prior expertise in these areas is preferred, a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams is equally valued.
  • A systems thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems at scale—with a track record of delivering large-scale programs with precision and urgency.
