Who We Are: BrightBee is an educational technology startup revolutionizing how K-12 schools recruit and engage with support staff. Our mission is to create a future where schools thrive and workers have the support they need to prosper and grow.  We believe in unlocking the potential of every school team member, no matter where they started their career journey.

The Opportunity: BrightBee is looking to hire After School Program Associates. This role will assist K-12 students during after school activities within our network of partnered schools and nonprofits. This role will focus on providing an engaging educational environment for students outside of regular school hours. In this position, you may be responsible for providing academic support for homework, coordinating and monitoring enrichment activities (such as art and craft projects, indoor and outdoor games, etc),  supervising snack time, communicating with parents, and maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness. The After School Program Associate is ideal for an energetic, role-model type individual. The schedule varies by school and day, but this position typically starts and ends between 1:00pm - 6:00pm on school days.

How BrightBee Works: You’ll be an essential part of our dynamic workforce as an independent contractor, ready to respond and commute to on-site work opportunities at nearby K-12 schools and nonprofits via the BrightBee app. You’ll be able to pick which work assignments match your experience, preferences, and schedule and will never have to take on an assignment that you don’t feel is a fit for you.

Top 5 Reasons to Choose BrightBee:

  1. Flexibility: you have the freedom to create your own schedule - you work when you want to, as much as you want to

  2. Variety: you will gain valuable professional experience by working in different kinds of roles at different schools, on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis

  3. Upskilling: we help you ‘level up’ your skills to qualify for more rewarding work, which unlocks opportunities with greater pay

  4. Community: we offer a sense that you are a part of something - and you get lots of bee jokes!

  5. Compensation: you control what you earn, based on what assignments you claim. While hourly pay varies based on assignment and experience required, on average assignments range from $20/hr-$24/hr. Due to our completed assignments milestone model, some Bee’s make up to $35/hr! The more assignments you take and complete, the higher your earning power.
