Company: BrightBee

About BrightBee
BrightBee is an innovative staffing solution that works with school and nonprofit organizations on various hiring needs.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Senior Sales Development Representative to be a critical engine of our revenue team. You will be responsible for:
-
Strategically engaging with leaders in K-12 school districts to schedule qualified meetings with decision makers and influencers for new BrightBee partners.
This isn't a typical high-volume SDR role with 100s of calls through power dialers. We believe in a focused approach where quality and research triumph over quantity. You will be a true partner to the sales team, following up on high-value conference leads and referrals, and collaborating closely with the sales team to support various revenue initiatives. For the right candidate, this role is a launchpad, with the expectation to grow into an Account Executive position within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
-
Generate Qualified Meetings: Your primary goal is to identify and connect with key decision-makers (central office administrators, HR leaders, etc.) to schedule discovery meetings for account executives.
-
Strategic, Targeted Outreach: Conduct thorough research to execute a targeted outreach strategy. This is a phone-first role, but you will rarely make more than 50 focused calls a day.
-
Lead Follow-Up: Diligently follow up with conference leads, referrals, and inbound inquiries to convert interest into active opportunities.
-
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Account Executives to develop territory strategies and with Customer Success Managers to support other revenue-generating initiatives.
-
Be a BrightBee Expert: Quickly develop a deep understanding of our services and be able to articulate our value proposition clearly and compellingly.
-
Maintain Pristine Records: Keep meticulous notes and track all activities in HubSpot to ensure a clean handoff to the sales team.
-
Other Duties: support the GTM team and entire company’s various needs and initiatives through duties as assigned.
Who You Are
-
Experienced Prospector: You have 1+ years of experience as an SDR or in a similar role, successfully setting meetings with K-12 central office administrators, HR leaders, or equivalent decision-makers. Experience working in K-12 education is a strong preference.
-
Education: Bachelors Degree or additional job experience is expected.
-
You Love the Phone: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people over the phone and understand how to build rapport and uncover needs in a conversation.
-
A Strategic Thinker, Not a Robot: You thrive on quality over quantity. The idea of making targeted, well-researched calls excites you more than a high-volume dialer.
-
Adaptable & Resilient: You are flexible and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can shift. You're not easily discouraged.
-
Growth-Oriented: You are eager to learn and grow your career in sales or customer success. You see this role as a clear stepping stone and are motivated to advance within 12 months.
-
Team Player: You enjoy collaboration and understand that the success of the team is your success.
-
Tech-Savvy: You are proficient with AI and modern sales tools, especially CRMs like HubSpot.
Compensation
-
Base salary range $80,000, OTE $100,000 (Uncapped)
-
Significant equity in the form of stock options
-
Health, vision, dental and other insurance benefits
-
Unlimited vacation policy
